I am 31 years old and have lived in Washington state for most of my life. I became a Christian about 5 years ago and God has been kind to give me the fun desire to fly! My wife and I love the beauty of the PNW and enjoying summers outside. Some of my favorite things to do include: trying new food, rec sports and spending time with family.

My Goal:
To efficiently train professional, proficient and safe pilots.
I see the flight instruction experience as a professional team effort. It’s important that we both have the same goal in mind and individually put in the work that is needed.
My Experience:
As a military instructor (non-aviation) with over 4 years of 1-on-1 teaching experience, I learned first-hand how important it is to:
- Get to know your student
- Understand what motivates him/her best
- Share the same goal
I also realized how much I enjoy teaching and this encouraged me in obtaining my CFI and CFII.
During my own flight training, I worked with 20+ instructors across 3 different states and have experience with a variety of curricula.
Throughout this training I learned valuable lessons about what my flight instructors did that motivated me:
- Cared about my success
- Came to lessons on time and prepared
- Demonstrated a professional demeanor and attitude
- Challenged me with engaging assignments instead of spoon feeding me
These traits lead me to see those instructors as mentors and have substantially shaped the pilot that I am today.
I would be honored to share what I have learned in your own aviation journey!
